Skagit Master 4 Update! »

I finished editing the show!  Man, that was a project.  Tom and his buddies did a great job and I can’t wait to get some feedback from the first who buy this one.   In fact, there’s so much stuff in the show that we might have to make it a 2 disk set!  It will add about $10 to the price, but you’ll be getting 2 hours and 20 minutes of Midwest steelhead fishing content and a ton of cool stuff added by our sponsors.

I attached the cover just to get you stoked.

Skagit Master 4 Teaser—pass it around »

I’m busy with the edit.  Hope to have it finished and out the door by April 1.  No guarantees.   Tom did a great job as did all the anglers in the show.  The Midwest is a cold place in winter, I’ll tell you that much.

Between edit sessions I tie a few steelhead originals. »

Using feathers from the ducks I kill during the season.   Mallard, Pintail, widgeon, etc.

Just something to look at while you wait for SM4 to come out.

The tented Pintail feathers look cool.

Skagit Master 4 Filming in the Midwest »

Tom Larimer casting in tight quarters around lots of wood

After two weeks of chasing Midwest steelhead, I’m quite happy with how Tom Larimer and his band of steelhead buddies pulled through.  We suffered through the lowest water conditions since 1944.  That’s steelheading.  Fortunately, we caught some fish.  Swung flies through some excellent water using the latest Airflo Lines and Sage ONE Rods.  The WaterMasters were perfect for the smaller rivers.  And thanks to Simms, everyone stayed warm and comfy.  If you know November in the Midwest, you know how cold it can get.   Time to edit the show….

Time to buckle down and shoot the next DVD. »

True, it is the season of the summer run.  Tis’ also the season of screaming elk and sore feet from chasing these creatures into deep canyons.   They always seem to go down, not up…

Freezer is full.  Time to go fishing.
